A great gift for the Vintage Gentleman! Nice HUGE Pair of Mid Century Modern Mad Men Era 1960s Gold Tone Metal Cufflinks made from old pocket watch gears and marked DANTE. The cufflinks are a large size measuring nearly 1" across. The cufflinks have bullet back closures; a torpedo, or bullet shaped, capsule that is suspended between two posts. The bullet can be flipped on its axis to manipulate it through the button holes in the cuff, and then flipped to secure the cufflink on the shirt. Both cufflinks are marked "DANTE" on the posts.
Dante manufactured primarily high quality men's jewelry and accessories in the 1960s (a division of Shields Inc). Cufflinks were often set with real semi precious stones like Lapis, onyx, agate and jasper or high quality crystal and Rivoli Glass.
